Pact runs entirely in your browser. Your key is never sent to us — only directly to Google's Gemini API.
Getting a free key takes 30 seconds:

The free tier gives you 1,500 requests/day — more than enough for personal use.
Fill in the six fields. Gemini drafts a full, structured contract. Review, then print or copy.
Paste any contract text. Gemini reads it like a lawyer and highlights dangerous clauses — explained in plain English.
Ask Gemini anything about Malaysian law — contracts, employment, consumer rights, tenancy, and more. Plain English, no jargon.
A contract begins the moment one party makes a clear offer and the other accepts — no paperwork required. A WhatsApp "yes, deal" can be legally binding. The offer must be communicated; silence is not acceptance.
Every contract needs something exchanged — money, services, goods, or even a promise. "I'll build your site for RM1,000" — the RM1,000 is the consideration. No consideration = no enforceable contract.
Under Malaysian law, contracts with minors (under 18) are void — not voidable, void. The law treats them as if they never existed. Exception: necessities like food and shelter can still bind a minor.
Void = never legally existed. Voidable = valid until you cancel it. Fraud, duress, and misrepresentation make a contract voidable — you have the right to walk away.
If someone breaks a contract, you can claim damages — but only for losses that were reasonably foreseeable. You can't claim RM50,000 if the contract was for RM500. Courts award fair compensation, not revenge money.
Employers must give proper notice before termination: 4 weeks if you've worked under 2 years, 6 weeks for 2–5 years, 8 weeks for 5+ years. Firing without notice requires payment in lieu. Immediate dismissal is only lawful for misconduct after a due inquiry.
Wages must be paid by the 7th of the following month. Overtime is capped at 104 hours/month and paid at 1.5× rate (weekdays), 2× (rest days), 3× (public holidays). File at JTKSM if your employer defaults.
Minimum annual leave: 8 days (under 2 years), 12 days (2–5 years), 16 days (5+ years). Maternity leave is 98 consecutive days. These are legal floors — your contract can only improve on them, never reduce them.
Goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description. If they fail, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. "No refund" signs have no legal force if the product is genuinely defective — the CPA overrides them.
Under Part IIIA, terms that are oppressive, unconscionable, or heavily one-sided can be declared void by a court. Just because you signed something doesn't mean every clause is enforceable.
Disputes up to RM50,000 can be filed at the TTPM — no lawyer needed, low fees, faster than court. This is your first stop for defective goods, service failures, and unfair charges by businesses.
Landlords typically hold 2 months deposit + 0.5 months utility deposit. Deductions are only valid for actual damage beyond fair wear and tear, or unpaid rent. Return must happen within a reasonable period after vacating — document everything with photos on move-out day.
A landlord cannot forcibly evict you or change your locks without a court order — that's illegal. Typical termination notice is 1–3 months per the tenancy agreement. Disputes go to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims or civil court.
Malaysia still lacks a dedicated Residential Tenancy Act, so disputes fall under general contract law and common law. This means your tenancy agreement is extremely important — read every clause before signing.
Companies must get your consent before collecting personal data, state the purpose, and keep it secure. You have the right to access your own data and correct inaccuracies. Report violations to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner.
The PDPA applies to commercial transactions only — government bodies are exempt. It covers data processors and data users (companies that collect and process your data). Misuse or data breaches can be reported and prosecuted.
